Minecraft to Mapcraft YouTube!

We have been learning about mapping skills in our Social Studies curriculum.  Our students created maps with symbols representing forests, water, fire and building.  After they created these maps, they then made their maps into the Minecraft world.  I like to call it Mapcraft!

I heard recently, that two students went home and created their maps with Lego.  It is wonderful to hear how kids continue to be excited about mapping through this activity!
